FAQ's
How long should I stay in the sauna?
We recommend sessions of 10–15 minutes at a time, followed by a cold dip or cool down. You can repeat this cycle 2–3 times depending on how you feel. Always listen to your body.
Do I need to bring anything?
Just a towel and a swimsuit. We recommend bringing a water bottle to stay hydrated, and flip flops if you have them. Everything else is taken care of.
Is it safe to use the sauna if I have a health condition?
If you have a heart condition, high blood pressure, are pregnant, or have any other medical concerns, we strongly recommend consulting your GP before booking. Your safety comes first.
Can I go straight into the cold water after the sauna?
Yes — and we encourage it. The contrast between heat and cold is where a lot of the magic happens. Take a breath, take the plunge, and enjoy the rush.
What should I wear?
A swimsuit or swim shorts are perfect. You’ll be moving between the sauna and the sea, so comfortable swimwear is all you need.
How do I prepare before my session?
Avoid eating a heavy meal in the hour before your session. Arrive hydrated, and try to give yourself time to relax into the experience rather than rushing straight in.
Is the sauna suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. Whether it’s your first time or your fiftieth, the sauna is for everyone. Take your time, go at your own pace, and don’t feel any pressure to push your limits.
Can children attend?
We recommend that the sauna is suitable for ages 16 and over. For younger visitors, please get in touch and we’ll advise based on your situation.
How many people can use the sauna at once?
Our barrel saunas comfortably fit 8-12 people.
What happens if the weather is bad?
A bit of Irish rain never hurt anyone — in fact, it adds to the experience. Sessions go ahead in most weather conditions. In the rare event of severe weather, we’ll be in touch to reschedule.
